What is a Heat Pump?

An electric heat pump is a simple machine that moves heat from one place to another. It cools by taking heat from the air inside your home and pumping it outside. It heats by taking heat that naturally exists outside - even in the winter - and pumping it inside. Supplemental heat assists the heat pump operation in very cold weather (around 30 degrees or below).

Incentives
A cash rebate in the amount of $50 per ton is awarded to the business owner for the installation of a new heat pump system(s) in a new business. $50 per ton is also available to the business owner for replacement of an existing gas heating system or an inefficient electric AC/heating system with an energy efficient electric heat pump(s).
