“Super Energy Savers” Program

Coast Electric is hoping to make learning about electricity a little more fun with Touchstone Energy’s Kids “Super Energy Savers” Program featuring mascot CFL Charlie. The program is designed to teach children in fourth grade about energy, electrical safety, energy savings and renewable energy.

The electric cooperative’s marketing and public relations staff has worked diligently this year to meet with teachers and administrators on the unique features of this great program.

“These children are future members of Coast Electric and we need to educate them on the importance of energy-saving practices in our homes, schools and communities,” said President and CEO Robert Occhi. “One of our seven cooperative principles is concern for community and our children are an important part of this.”
