Time of Use winter hours begin Nov. 1

Members on our Time of Use (TOU) rate – remember that winter hours begin Nov. 1. If you haven’t adjusted your programmable thermostats, water heater timers and pool pump timers, make sure to do so for ultimate savings. Also remember that you should set timers to reflect Daylight Saving time if they do not automatically reset.

Winter Period (Nov. 1 – March 31)
On-peak: 6 a.m.- 8 a.m.
Off-peak: All other times including all day Saturday and Sunday
Off-peak: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day

Information you need to know if you are considering TOU:

  • You will only need to avoid the two peak hours Monday-Friday in the winter period. That’s only 10 peak hours a week!
  • The easiest way to save money on your electric bill is to install programmable thermostats and water heater/pool pump timers and set them to avoid the peak hours.
